Our mission at Neli Studios is to save as many of those stories as we can in the form of a legacy video or book.
The Stories we hear are the ones we tend to Believe.
Those Stories then shape the Lives we Lead,
Which becomes the Legacy we Receive.
Those are the Stories we Tell
which are the Stories Others Hear and Believe and
Shape the Lives they Lead,
Becoming the Legacy we Leave.
Each of us receives a legacy from those who have gone before us. That legacy is a gift passed from one generation to another.
When I first began writing my parents’ story, it occurred to me that was my legacy. But I never thought of humble farmers as having a legacy. Maybe some east coast aristocrat like the Rockefellers or Vanderbilts but not my family. I mistakenly thought that only those with money or prestige left a legacy worthy of following.
